Editor Pro
|
|
Editor's review:
MP3 Editor Pro is a flexible and highly functional
music-editing program. The interface is much more
straightforward than in past versions, and most
functions are just a button-click away. Beginners
should find it easier to use than most of its competitors.
During testing we were able to effortlessly upload
music from CD, a line-in feed and a stereo mix,
as well as record live music with a microphone.
The program also can burn files to a CD. The free
trial provides ample opportunity to take this editing
application for a spin. Overall, MP3 Editor Pro
is a good tool for mix masters and music fans looking
to create their own home studio.

Editor's review:
MP3 Editor Pro lets users transform audio files
by, for example, filtering out certain frequencies,
playing with volume, changing tempo without altering
pitch, or even applying 3D sound effects. The visual
interface makes all editing easier for beginners.

• MP3
Editor Deluxe
|
|
Editor's review:
The application has an intuitive user interface.
All the tools and menus are nicely arranged for
usability. It allows you to add or change information
about an audio file such as Album, Artist, Channels,
Comments, Copyright, Genre, Title, Year, etc. Certainly
one software you'd like to have at home, even if
for the "just in case" situations. Simple, looking
good and doing its job very well. We are giving
it a very high ranking as it is a pretty good software
for the beginners at a great price.

|
Editor's review:
MP3 Editor Deluxe is a feature-rich toolbox that's
easy to use for even the most inexperienced, and
the interface is very slick and well-designed. It
also includes quite a lot tools for music creation/backup
& audio analysis.

• Audio
Merge Expert

|
Software Cocktail
- Editor's Pick
|
Editor's review:
Audio Merge Expert has the advantage that it handles
Ogg Vorbis files as well as MP3. There is no need
to input files of the same formats and it deals
with all the formats we use to test.

GearDownload - Editor's
Choice
|
Editor's review:
Audio Merge Expert supports 4 most popular MP4,
WMA, WAV & OGG output - not many but quite enough
for casual use. Meanwhile, the supported input formats
are countless. What surprises us most is the quality
setting. For users who have less recording experience,
presets could be a good start to fit the need; for
those who familiar with sound recording, the manual
numeric adjustment will get audio processed precisely.

• BurnPro
|
|
Editor's review:
As the name says, the application is designed for
CD DVD disc creation. BurnPro does its job very
good and the menu is understandable for everyone,
including the beginners who have never done this
before. It can write multisession CDs. Every session
is mounted as a separate volume. This is very useful
when users use an incremental backup mode.
|
|
|
|
Editor's review:
BurnPro can work in Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista/7 (32
and 64 Bit) environments. It is able to create data,
multimedia and multisession CD/DVD/Blu-ray discs.
Creating audio CD & video DVD is part of the agenda
of course. But there are various other things this
application can do otherwise. Creating a boot disc
image, creating and recording just disc images are
part of the functionalities. The writing is on the
fly for all image copying, no staging required and
written files are verified automatically. The best
part of this software is, everything runs in Wizard
mode and even inexperienced user could have fun
from complicated disc creation.
